Jade Kuzimbikisa is a Spanish-Congolese analogue photographer and poet currently based in Barcelona. She considers herself both a writer and a visual storyteller, working across mediums to explore the interestitialities between image, language, and identity.
With a background in literature and philosophy, Kuzimbikisa’s work dares to seize the world and its meanings through the lens of a marginal subject. Her images, deeply imbued with her lived experiences, reveal the intricate forms and patterns of her most immediate subjectivities, and in turn invite people to engage with the textured hues of their own emotional landscapes. And through double exposures, she attempts to unravel the thematic threads that entwine all aspects of reality, blending the divine with the mundane.
