“Photography is often translated as ‘the writing of light’, which doesn’t surprise me, I’m a writer—there’s a certain poetry embedded in all of my pictures.”

“My only aim when producing an image is to retain my memory of it, to have a record of all the things I’ve come in contact with, to be an eternal witness. Perhaps also to be read.”

“did i burn something?”, 2022.

exploring the medium’s capacity for abstraction whilst reframing error as experiment. when the image seeks to belong to itself, it refuses any interpretation, analysis, or conventional mode of understanding, and instead only welcomes epistemological chaos.

the first few times i visited you i brought back the sea in my pocket. i also dared sate my thirst with your sand. i change and shift and grow disconcertingly fast, but you always manage to stay the same—your outline projecting a semblance of stability. it gives me pause.

“seeking identity in antonyms”, 2023.
kodak gold 200.
24 x 36 cm.

a visual fan of the process in which we strive to define ourselves in opposition to the projected version in the looking glass. the desire to counter imposed social perceptions and replace them with inner representations. an attempt to regain narrative over the self, to resituate it, but always in relation to, so ultimately just proof of our social susceptibility.

“places inhabiting people”, 2023.
fomapan 200.
24 x 36 cm.

an exploration of the spaceor realm of relationthat originates from the inevitable interaction between site and self, which is here presented as an experiential field rather than a specific geographic location or bodily dimension. in this world, there is people inhabiting places, but also places inhabiting people.

“sounds of nature”, 2025.

stillness is not the absence of sound, but its most attentive form.

“Like a natural extension of my pen,
my camera is the brush with which
I draw my impressions of the world,
materialising that which I see
onto the fabric of existence.”
